Once again its been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything, I've been busy celebrating Halloween, doing uni work and watching Criminal Minds and Elf.
Halloween was fabbo! We carved pumpkins, made spooky gingerbread houses, tried to watch Human Centipede 2 but found it too boring so we turned it off, and ran around town in a skeleton outfit!
I'm a little bit late in making my christmas cake, most people do it some time in October I think but I've never made one before and I've been busy so there are my excuses hehe... But today I finally got around to it and I'm so proud of myself! We're big fans of Delia Smith in my house and so I followed her 'classic christmas cake' recipe, my mum's got a christmas recipe book from before I was born (:o) but you can find the exact same instructions online. I'll post the link in here so if anyone fancies making a cake too they can! Nearer to Christmas I'll post a photo of it when its all iced and decorated so it will look a little bit more impressive than it does right now!
For anyone reading this thinking why in the heck is she making a cake weeks before christmas, its because (and I never knew this either) you have to 'feed' it brandy every week leading up to christmas to make it super delish! So there you have it! Its so much simpler than I'd imagined, and I'm super clumsy and slap-dash so you can imagine how we all expected it to turn out! But even though its taken me most of the day to make, its all done and dusted and its come out really nicely so if I can do it anyone can!

In other news my ballet lessons are going really well, the coming Wednesday will be my fourth lesson, and for someone who has two left feet i'm really enjoying it!
Anyway mum's got a pie in the oven so I'm off to eat it and watch Harry Potter!
