The title is a fancy way of saying 'favourite' in Latin, its a bit more interesting than English hehe! Its almost time to go back to uni and to say I'm suffering from cabin fever would be an understatement! So I've compiled a list of a few of my current favourite things, from music to desk chairs! Gaudent! (Enjoy in Latin - god I'm so annoying)

Okay so music first, I've already mentioned 9Ts by Redlight, but I'll add the link here again simply because I'm still so in love with it! In fact Redlight in general, so I'll put a link to their VEVO page too! Secondly is Monster which is a collaboration of Kanye West, Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, and Bon Iver. I can't think of anything better...
I've only just jumped on the whole I woke up like this, band wagon and now I have I'm never getting off! Flawless is on repeat right now!
I also can't get enough of Huxley's Boiler Room set, its amazing.

As I've mentioned a hundred times anything 90s I LOVE! You might be able to tell but right now I'm really into the whole 90s rave culture, it's my favourite thing, I'm completely obsessed, and as I'm re-doing my room next month I'll post the stuff I get to hang around my room, I've already bookmarked  a load of 90s stickers that will go on my wardrobe or draws, and loads of framed posters which I'm super excited about.

On the topic of my bedroom, I'm crazy obsessed with a chair... Its called a Ghost chair, some of you will probably already know about them, I'm more likely than not late on the 'hype' as per, but here's a link to the Ebay description page of Ghost chairs!

Ghost Chair

I've really recently got the hang of french plaiting so my hair is permanently crimped right now, I love it so much, the crimp is coming back guys... You just wait! Long live the crimp!

Another thing I love, is less of a thing and more of a person... Norman freakin' Reedus... Lord have mercy on my soul! Not only is he in one of my absolute all time favourite TV shows The Walking Dead, he also seems super cool, and is my boo. Don't question me.

My best friend is named Aisha El - Tahlawi (sick name I know), we met almost 2 years ago now, and in spite of always wondering what it would be that we would argue about we (touch wood) are doing good! I've had some of the best times of my life with this dweeb, from New York to Paleo festival in Switerland, to chilling in Greenwich chatting about nothing and pigeons. Its personal but I feel as the 2 year bff anniversary is coming up it warranted a mention! Plus she's the genius who made my blog look exactly how I wanted it to!

I'm re-obsessed with nose hoops, so, for the third time, I'm getting my nose pierced! My mum and brother get so exasperated because at random times I get all crazy about piercings again and get loads and spend loads of money, and like 4 months later take them all out! But third time lucky... 😜

Even though August isn't even over yet I feel like everyone is so excited for Autumn already, this is the best thing ever because normally people are all psyched over summer, which I'm not a fan of, so all hail big jumpers and fluffy socks! I love rain, snow, peppermint lattes, Halloween and Christmas, so I shall be sporting my trademark radiator grin just as soon as autumn properly kicks in!!

This is really quite a 'nothing' post, but I'm bored and obsessed with so many things currently that I thought I'd share!

Also in case you were wondering about the radiator grin...

'America - Why I Love Her'

You ask me Why I Lover Her? Well, give me time and I'll explain.
Have you seen a Kansas sunset or an Arizona rain?
Have you drifted on a bayou down Louisiana way?
Have you watched a cold fog drifting over San Francisco Bay?
Have you heard a bobwhite calling in the Carolina pines,
Or heard the bellow of a diesel at the Appalachia mines?
Does the call of Niagara thrill you when you hear her waters roar?
Do you look with awe and wonder at her Massachusetts shore,
Where men who braved a hard new world first stepped on Plymounth's rock?
And do you think of them when you stroll along a new York City dock?
Have you seen a snowflake drifting in the Rockies, way up high?
Have you seen the sun come blazing down from a bright Nevada sky?
Do you hail to the Columbia as she rushes to the sea,
Or bow your head at Gettysburg at our struggle to be free?
Have you seen the mighty Tetons? Have you watched an eagle soar?
Have you seen the Mississippi roll along Missouri's shore?
Have you felt a chill at Michigan when on a winter's day
Her waters rage along the shore in thunderous display?
Does the word "Aloha" make you warm? Do you stare in disbelief
When you see the surf come roaring in at Waimea Reef?
From Alaska's cold to the Everglades, from the Rio Grande to Maine,
My heart cries out, my pulse runs fast at the might of her domain.
You ask me Why I Love Her? I've a million reasons why:
My Beautiful America, beneath God's wide, wide sky.

- John Wayne

(I really love this poem, its in Tropico which is a short by Lana Del Rey, it sounds so good when its being read out in the video. Also I have an obsession with America so this poem just plays into that even more!)

It's the 90s baby. Lets Party like it's 1990.

Biggie Smalls, Versace shades, Moschino jeans and Alize.
ODB, Brooklyn Zoo, DJ Randall on the 1s and 2s.

I feel a yearning to make a post about the 90s, I'm so obsessed its bordering on unhealthy, maybe if I rave about how much I love it I'll feel better... then again maybe not...

Firstly I'm crazy obsessed with a song called 9Ts by Redlight, the video is sick, the lyrics are literally all about the 90s and if I were to die tomorrow I would hope this song would be playing on a loop at my grave stone. I've had it on repeat for 24 hours solid and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

On the topic of music (90s music is undoubtedly the best) is an app called 8Tracks, you can also find it on the internet, and its basically a load of playlists random people have uploaded, the 90s playlists on there are some of the best I've ever heard, I can listen to N Sync, Backstreet Boys and Wheatus to my hearts content.

My So Called Life, is my actual life, 10 Things I Hate About You is still on another level and you could say Sabrina the Teenage Witch has made a come-back, but it really never went away lets be honest. I can't decide if I want to be Angela with a red bob and oversized tartan or if I want to be Cher Horowitz, either way I NEED a fluffy pen and a killer blazer and skirt tartan combo asap!

I CANNOT get enough of the 90s tag on Etsy, seriously I have a million things saved in my bookmarks. I want a hundred chokers, so many baseball hats, a load of plaid, some fresh kicks, a Spice Girls notebook for when I go back to uni, a new backpack. Seriously It's a problem. Especially as my loan will be going in to my bank soon, I'm not too sure how much longer I can hold off...

My level of obsession is that bad that I am desperately trying to find a 90s style masquerade mask for a freshers ball thats in a few weeks, so far no such thing... :( If anyone happens to stumble across one hit me up. Seriously.

So basically I think that 90s music, fashion, TV shows, and fun are the best and nothing will come close, and unless people miraculously decide to bring back patterned leggings with stirrups, shell suit jackets, and Oasis get back together I'm not interested in being a part of the current generation thank you very much for your concern.

New York City

There is nothing else quite like New York City in January; the cold air freezes your lungs and bites at your cheeks. Christmas lights twinkle and the ground is covered in the confetti from the New Years Eve celebrations. In spite of feeling miniature surrounded by the concrete jungle, my heart has never felt so full, so alive and free, and so desperate to explore as it did then. It makes your whole body thrum with excited energy, it creates a new found vigour for life and makes you realise with extraordinarily sharp clarity that you will never find another place you love more. It makes your heart race and your feet move faster with the desperate need to scorch every road sign, every window, every brick and every billow of steam into your memory forever.

The winter light is so bright it’s like a new world that’s just been born, and you are the very first person to discover its wonders. You forget that there are any other places of beauty in the world because nothing, nothing compares to the feast your eyes are gorging themselves on. It is a world on its own and stirs an exquisite melancholy when I remember how it felt and seemed to me. If you were to paint my heart and soul it would be shaped like the Manhattan skyline at five in the morning, it would show my paradise.

You can be whoever you want to be, go wherever you want to go, dress how you like, meet someone new and different every day, see things you cant believe exist and explore true freedom of expression. I left my heart in New York City somewhere along Brooklyn Bridge. It is home, it's beauty, it's heaven, it’s the garden of Eden, and its taking care of my heart, patiently waiting for me.
